15th International Conference on Density Functional Theory and its Applications

The 15th International Conference on Density Functional Theory and its Applications will take place in Durham, UK, September 9–13, 2013. This is the latest in a series of biennial meetings, which have taken place in Paris (1995), Vienna (1997), Rome (1999), Madrid (2001), Brussels (2003), Geneva (2005), Amsterdam (2007), Lyon (2009) and Athens (2011).

Durham is a historic city in the North-East of England, with a Norman Cathedral and Castle, designated a World Heritage Site. Lecture and poster sessions will take place at Durham University, the third oldest university in England, just a short walk from the City Centre. Durham is easily reached by direct flights (to nearby Newcastle airport) from European Cities such as London, Paris, Amsterdam, Brussels and Dusseldorf, and by direct train from London and other UK cities.

DFT2013 will be devoted to fundamental and applied aspects of Density Functional Theory, including:

  • Fundamental Theory & Development
  • Exchange-Correlation Functionals
  • Time-dependent DFT (TDDFT)
  • Van der Waals interactions
  • Molecular Properties
  • Biological and Bioinorganic Applications
  • Large systems
  • Catalysis, Reactivity & Surface Properties
  • Conceptual DFT
  • Dynamics
